Georgia DEMETRIOU

Georgia Demetriou is a medical oncologist and academic figure in South Africa. She holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, serving as the Academic Head of the Division of Medical Oncology. Her responsibilities also include Acting Head of the Division of Medical Oncology at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, demonstrating her commitment to both patient care and research.

Her career path reflects a dedication to medicine and education. Professor Demetriou previously led a General Medicine Teaching Unit at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for ten years and has overseen 140 junior medical staff as the intern and community service medical officer curator for fifteen years.
