About

BCU-Breast Cancer Update, hosted by JFIM non profit association, is an international, multidisciplinary, English-speaking, hybrid face-to-face and digital congress with live broadcast of communications and debates on our platform and social networks.

In 2024, multidisciplinarity will be more essential than ever for better cancer care. It is the very essence and DNA of the BCU to share knowledge between specialties in order to raise the overall level of treatments for the benefit of patients around the world.

The format of the interventions, deliberately short, encourages discussions and gives a dynamic rhythm to the delegates who will be followed online with replay options available the same day outside of the live sessions.
The replays are spread out over the year.

In 2020, 2.3 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer and in the last 5 years, 7.8 million women were diagnosed with this condition, making it the most common cancer in the world.
Over the past 40 years, advances in patient care have doubled patient survival and today it is estimated that 85% of women survive 5 years or more after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

It is now essential to bring together different specialties to treat breast cancer, which presents numerous profiles of entities requiring separate and personalized care.

Due to the proliferation of diagnostic and therapeutic options that interest all disciplines, talking about breast cancer can only be done through a transversal and multidisciplinary approach.
This observation led us to imagine new formats for our conferences.
The conference program is therefore built on the model of an RCP, that is to say a multidisciplinary consultation meeting – MCM.

Topics are covered through the prism of each specialty involved in care.
It seems essential to us to maintain our exchanges and discussions within and between our specialties as well as to compare our practices with what is done in different countries.

The scientific program is developed each year by an international board.
Colleagues from around the world are welcome on site or online.
