Go-to-Market Manager for Women's Health at Siemens Healthineers, Forchheim, Germany
Alex Hampson brings over 12 years of experience in medical devices, spanning product management, commercial strategy, procurement and business operations within diagnostic imaging.
In his current role, Hampson holds end-to-end responsibility for go-to-market activities supporting the launch and regional rollout of a new mammography system. He works with cross-functional teams across R&D, sales, marketing, service, education and clinical functions to define product positioning, value propositions and launch readiness. He serves as the primary interface between customers and product management, managing escalations and ensuring structured integration of clinical and market feedback into the product roadmap. A notable component of his work involves leading validation activities with external clinical AI solution providers, coordinating clinical, technical and commercial inputs to ensure compatibility, performance and real-world relevance prior to market introduction.
Prior to this appointment, Hampson served as Regional Business Manager from July 2021 to February 2024, with commercial responsibility for orders and revenue across Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Great Britain and Ireland. In this capacity, he drove regional sales strategy for X-ray systems including radiography, mobile X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography and urology, working with local sales organisations to define priorities and account strategies. He represented headquarters in customer engagements, product demonstrations and executive visits, and led pricing escalations for complex, high-value projects.
Earlier positions at Siemens Healthineers include Global Project Procurement Manager (2018–2021) in Erlangen, where he led strategic procurement for high-value medical equipment and long-term value partnerships across EMEA, and Buyer (2014–2018) in London, supporting strategic procurement for diagnostic imaging equipment within Managed Equipment Service projects.
Hampson began his career in the Siemens Commercial Academy, a competitive work-and-study programme combining full-time placements across commercial functions with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Surrey (2011–2014). His rotational experience encompassed strategic procurement, service contract controlling, finance and reporting within healthcare, energy and building technology divisions.
